Entry Requirements 2026

Monaco has no visa of its own — entry follows France & Schengen rules. For passport holders in (US, UK, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, UAE): These nationals can visit Monaco without a visa, with the same visa-free access that applies to France and the Schengen Area, for stays of up to 90 days.

For Philippine passport holders specifically

The Philippines has not signed a visa waiver agreement with the European Union, so Filipino nationals need a Schengen visa to travel to France and, by extension, Monaco.

Applications are handled through TLScontact in Manila or Cebu, operating under the authority of the French Embassy in Manila. AXA Schengen Standard processing takes 15 calendar days from the TLScontact appointment, though peak season — April through August — can significantly stretch both appointment availability and processing time.

How to Apply — Step by Step:

  1. Register at france-visas.gouv.fr and complete the online application form (Visa Wizard)

  2. Book an appointment at TLScontact Manila (Makati) or TLScontact Cebu

  3. Attend in person: submit documents, provide fingerprints and photo

  4. Pay visa fee (€90) plus TLScontact service fee at appointment

  5. Collect passport from TLScontact once decision is made (usually 15 days)

  • As of March 2026, the ETIAS start date is confirmed for Q4 2026 (October–December), but it won’t be mandatory until 2027. More info.

    The ETIAS caveat for late 2026: You do not need an ETIAS to enter Monaco itself, but you will need one to reach the country through France or Italy.

    Starting in late 2026, the EU will launch ETIAS — a new requirement for visa-free visitors to most Schengen countries.

    This will affect US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and UAE passport holders, but not Philippine passport holders (who already require a full Schengen visa) are unaffected by ETIAS.

  • Carry a valid passport, proof of airline return ticket, proof of Filipina Summit registration and proof of accommodation from Filipina Women’s Network when you register for the Filipina Summit at www.ffwn.org/events.

    Passport validity 3 months beyond. Issued within the last 10 years. Entry route: Via Nice or Milan. Biometric passport required. Australians need no visa but should apply for ETIAS once available (late 2026) before traveling through France. The €20 ETIAS fee is waived for under-18s and over-70s.

  • Carry a valid passport, proof of airline return ticket, proof of Filipina Summit registration and proof of accommodation from Filipina Women’s Network when you register for the Filipina Summit at www.ffwn.org/events.

  • Approved rate for Filipino applicants is historically ~94%. Apply at least 3 months before travel, well ahead of European summer (Apr–Aug). ETIAS will NOT be required since Philippines nationals already need a full Schengen visa.

    Visa type needed: Schengen Type C. Applied via French Embassy/TLScontact. Visa fee €90 (adults). Under 6: free · Ages 6–11: €45. Processing time: 15 calendar days, Up to 45–60 days during peak season. Apply earliest: 6 months before. No later than 15 days before travel. Passport validity: 3 months beyond. Issued within last 10 years, 2 blank pages.

  • Carry a valid passport, proof of return ticket, proof of Filipina Summit registration and proof of accommodation from Filipina Women’s Network when you register for the Filipina Summit at www.ffwn.org/events.

    Swiss nationals have full freedom of movement within Schengen including Monaco. No 90-day restriction applies. Carry a valid Swiss passport or national ID card.

Unless you are a citizen of a Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country, you will need a valid U.S. visa to enter the United States. All passport holders, regardless of age, must apply for the appropriate visa before traveling.

  • Check if your country is part of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).

    If you are eligible, apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).

    ESTA allows short-term visits for tourism or business without a visa.

    If your country is not part of the VWP, you will need to apply for a U.S. visa.

  • Use the Visa Wizard to determine the correct visa for your trip.

    You are traveling to San Francisco to attend the #FWNSUMMIT26 during the 22nd Filipina Leadership Global Summit. FWN suggests you apply for a B-1Business Visa, as a business traveler. Most tourists will need a B-2 Tourist Visa.

  • If a Letter of Invitation is requested, complete the Visa Letter of Invitation form. As visa requirements can take several weeks, Letters of Invitation Requests from FWN will only be accepted before 15 JULY 2026. Letters of Invitation requested after this date cannot be provided unless waived by the FWN CEO or appropriate FWN Officer.

  • Complete the DS-160 Visa Application Form.

    Pay the visa application fee (amount varies based on visa type).

    Schedule a visa interview at your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

    Attend the visa interview and bring all required documents, including a valid passport and DS-160 confirmation page.

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the U.S. Ensure you have at least one stamp blank page.

Getting Around Monaco

  • Monaco has no airport of its own; nearly all delegates will arrive via Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, about 30–45 minutes from Monte-Carlo. Five options are available, summarized below.

    Note: Monaco-registered taxis generally cannot pick up passengers in France. An airport pickup should be booked as a French taxi (Taxi Nice) or a private transfer, not a Monaco cab.

  • Book instantly or in advance, track your driver in real time, and pay directly in the app. Download the TAXI MONACO app (iOS and Android) — the Principality's official taxi service.

    The Le Méridien Beach Plaza concierge desk (+377 93 30 98 80) can also arrange a taxi on your behalf — a good option if you prefer not to use the app.

    Two staffed taxi ranks are also available in the Principality: at the Monaco-Monte-Carlo (SNCF) train station and at the Port of Monaco.

    Fares are flat-rate, not metered, and are reviewed periodically by the Monaco government.

    As of this writing, a trip within Monaco runs roughly €18 (booked on demand) to €28 (booked in advance), with a modest per-minute charge if the driver is delayed more than three minutes.

  • Taxi Monaco offers several vehicle classes beyond the standard sedan, so groups of 5 or more should request a minivan or van rather than a standard car.

    Best fit for groups of 5–6 • 6 without luggage, or 4 with 4 large suitcases

    To request a larger vehicle, select the minivan or van option in the app, or state your group size and luggage needs when calling.

    Taxi Monaco's published rates are quoted by destination rather than broken out by vehicle class, so please request a fare estimate for your specific group size at the time of booking to confirm the price in advance.

  • Uber does not currently operate within Monaco.

Health & Safety

The US Government does not currently have any COVID-19 requirements in place for travellers entering and departing San Francisco.

COVID-19 however continues to pose a health risk. You are strongly encouraged to wear masks and be vaccinated while traveling internationally. You should practice good cough and hand hygiene, and physically distance from others where possible. (Source)
