The Filipina Women’s Network’s (FWN) annual Filipina Leadership Global Summit brings together Filipina women global leaders, influencers, thinkers and public figures for discussions, learning journeys, “kwentuhan strategies” on how to succeed as multi-cultural professionals and private chats to ignite cooperation through public and private partnerships.

About Filipina Women's Network

The Filipina Women’s Network is a San Francisco based non-profit professional  association for women of Philippine ancestry with members worldwide. committed to improving the status of Filipina women worldwide. We promote the social welfare of Filipina women and advocate for Filipina women's rights.

FWN provides the content, credibility and community to help women of Philippine ancestry succeed in their businesses and careers. FWN provides knowledge, products, education, research and a worldwide network for Filipina women professionals.

The FWN convenes programs and activities that enhance public perceptions of Filipina women’s capacities to lead and to build the Filipina community’s pipeline of qualified leaders, to increase the odds that some Filipina women will rise to the 'president' position in the private and public sectors worldwide. 

FWN members are represented in 23 U.S. states and 15 countries, 40% are in professional occupations, 16% are business owners and 44% are in executive management positions. Education and health care fields are the top two industries represented.

FWN members are multi-generational—we have a few members from the Silent Generation providing us a historical and cultural perspective growing up in segregated America and life during WWII. Baby Boomers comprise more than half of FWN members, 19% are GenXers, and 16% are GenY. 76% are first-generation immigrants; 24% are 2nd generation. 

FWN members are educational achievers—28% have post-grad degrees or have completed post grad coursework, 27% have graduate degrees or have completed graduate coursework and 20% have college degrees. 49% of members have a household income of over $150,000, and 14% indicated $110,000 and above; 79% are homeowners vs 20% renters. 

 

About the Filipina Leadership Global Summit

An integral part of FWN's Pinay Power campaign—a dream with a meaningful purpose: to double the number of Filipina women leaders by 2020—the summit convenes sessions, presentations, and Learning Journeys to confront issues and barriers that affect the economic trade and investment opportunities of Filipina women business owners and the careers of Filipina professionals in the U.S. and countries with a high population of Filipina women.

The Summit includes exclusive policy briefings and office visits with key legislators whose policies impact the Filipino community. Attendees will have opportunities to network with legislators, elected and appointed officials, state and local agency representatives, API business owners and community leaders at the Mayors' Salo Salo Soireé and the Global FWN100™ Awards and Gala.

The highlight of the Summit is the announcement of Global FWN100™ Awardees at the Awards Ceremony and Gala.

The Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award™ recognizes Filipina women who are influencing the face of power in the workplace, having reached status for outstanding work in their respective fields and are recognized for their leadership, achievement and contributions to society, femtorship and legacy. The awardees are asked to femtor a young Pinay through our robust FEMtorMatch program and bring her to the Filipina Summit.
